Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a team to manage the operations of on-site and off-site facilities, office administration and safety duties.
  • Handle requests for facilities enhancements or repair to support the business needs.
  • Provide professional advice to senior management on renovation works, office and laboratory upgrades.
  • Serve as the central point of contact and foster positive relationships with the landlord and the appointed Facility Management Office.
  • Manage contractual relationships and collaborate with vendors to ensure excellent service delivery; review and monitor performance in line with agreed KPIs or SLAs.
  • Develop and manage the annual department budget, including expenses for contractual services, preventive measures, maintenance, repairs, projects, energy management and capital items.
  • Lead the office administration team (office administration, reception and drivers) to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee safety, hygiene and health functions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage the effective implementation of policies and procedures related to health, safety, security, environment and office administration; review and optimise such policies where appropriate.

 

 Job Requirements:

 

  • Degree holder or above in Property Management, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of solid experience in facilities or building management, gained from sizable companies, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Hands-on experience in Safety Management; candidates with professional safety qualifications or relevant experience will have an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks, ranging from planning, administration to overseeing or directing maintenance and operational activities.
  • A problem-solver with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A team leader with strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellence command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
