To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), localization, and path planning for robotics applications in industrial automation and smart infrastructure.
- Develop algorithms for object detection, pose estimation and motion planning to enable autonomous robotic systems in industrial environments.
- Ensure scalability, robustness, and performance of algorithmic solutions within integrated systems.
- Follow the system engineering processes to design and deliver high-quality modules, systems, and platforms.
- Documentation of the design and testing throughout SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and ISO processes.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. holder or Master degree in Computer Science/Robotics/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of related experiences. Candidate with less experiences may also be considered.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++/Python and algorithm optimization.
- Familiar with Robot Operating System (ROS), Gazebo, MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.
- Familiar with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) is a plus.
- A team player with good analytical and communication skills in written and spoken English.

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
