To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in and contribute to physical layer (PHY) DSP/FPGA solution verifications in multiple platforms in ASTRI’s 5G/6G R&D projects.
- Engage in activities including the followings:
- Develop and maintain L1/PHY driver software at real time performance to run Physical Layer for different 5G/6G platforms.
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure software in using equipment for verifying integrated DSP/FPGA.
- Set up and verify the integrated DSP/FPGA solution.
- Track and analyze the verification/testing results.
- Set up and troubleshoot hardware platforms for verification/testing.
- Provide verification support for DSP and FPGA implementation.
- Build up know-hows on 5G/6G standardization.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- PhD or Master’s degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Telecommunications or relevant disciplines.
- Fresh graduates may also be considered.
- Successfully completed the undergraduate/postgraduate program.
- Experience in software verification is preferred.
- Strong in analytical skills are preferred.
- Knowledge of wireless communications standards, such as 5G/6G, ORAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a plus.
- Experiences in Linux platform development, a plus.
- Experiences in embedded system development, a plus.
- Experiences in wireshark plugin development, a plus.
- Experiences in programming/scripting language such as Python, C#, Tcl, Matlab, a plus.
- Has interest in R&D.

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked gratuity. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
