We are seeking a reliable Deputy Director / Senior Manager to join our team, who will report to the Senior Director, Finance.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, monitor, and review all day-to-day accounting activities of head offices and subsidiaries, including but not limited to reviewing payments and vouchers, and budgetary control
  • Conduct month-end closing and produce financial and management reports to ensure compliance with policies and guidelines
  • Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Lead, supervise and provide guidance to subordinates
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax advisors
  • Prepare a yearly and long-term budget plan
  • Prepare a monthly forecast on operating expenditure and cash flow
  • Implement internal control policies and procedures in accordance with both statutory and Government funding requirements
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with a Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the public sector or sizable organisations. Big 4 managerial experience is a definite advantage.
  • Good understanding of government funding policies and procedures, attentive to meticulous rules and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • A self-motivator and team player to handle job duties with tight deadlines and ad hoc requests
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to multitask with good time-management skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of the FLEX accounting system is an advantage
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
