Job Responsibilities:

•    Develop and implement comprehensive communications and media relations strategies for ASTRI’s corporate events, promotional activities, executive profiling and public affairs

•    Prepare bilingual PR materials, such as press releases, media kit and FAQs; and craft bilingual communications for senior executives, including key messages, speeches and PowerPoint presentations

•    Assist in producing corporate literature such as brochures, e-newsletters and annual reports

•    Support the planning and execution of corporate branding and public engagement initiatives, and organise media events like press conference

•    Monitor social and media coverage to identify PR opportunities and identify potential reputational risks. Assist in preparing communications materials for issue and crisis management

•    Act as a media contact point, pitch for media opportunities and respond to media enquiries and requests promptly and effectively 

•    Manage and grow ASTRI’s social media presence across key platforms, creating engaging and visually compelling content

•    Design high-quality digital assets for social media, campaigns, and corporate communications using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software)

•    Oversee the website revamp project end-to-end, project manage it with the vendor in content migration, UX/UI improvements, aligning with ASTRI’s branding

•    Maintain and update the corporate website using CMS platforms, ensuring content accuracy, SEO optimisation, and strong user experience

•    Track and analyse marketing/ comms performance metrics (web traffic, engagement, media coverage) and optimise campaigns accordingly

•    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, researchers, and leadership to translate complex technology topics into accessible and engaging content

•    Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor

 

Job Requirements:

•    A university degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or Journalism with at least five years’ experience in marketing or corporate communications. Working experience in media or public organisations is advantageous

•    Excellent writing skills in both Chinese and English; proficiency in spoken Cantonese, English and Putonghua

•    Proven success in planning and executing publicity campaigns, with strong coordination skills across teams

•    Good understanding of local and Mainland media landscape, with established media network is an advantage

•    Hands-on experience managing social media accounts and executing digital campaigns across different platforms; in-depth knowledge of analytics and reporting tools

•    Demonstrated experience leading website revamp projects and working with external vendors.

•    Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).

•    Design capability with experience using digital design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).

•    Analytical mindset with experience using digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

•    Strong project management, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills

•    Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five-day week.
