The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research. ASTRI’s core R&D competence in various areas is grouped under four Technology Divisions: Communications Technologies, Trust and AI Technologies, Integrated Circuits and Systems, and IoT Sensing and AI Technologies.
It is applied across six core areas which are Smart City, Financial Technologies, New Industrialisation and Intelligent Manufacturing, Digital Health, Application Specific Integrated Circuits, and Metaverse.
Over the years, ASTRI has nurtured a pool of research, I&T talents and received numerous international awards for its pioneering innovations as well as outstanding business and community contributions. To date, ASTRI has transferred almost 1400 technologies to the industries and been granted more than 1000 patents in the Mainland, the US, and other countries.
To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):
Job Responsibilities:
- To establish an efficient and effective action plan and timeline for each assignment, with the management and all the stakeholders.
- Assist the management in the planning, execution and analysis of a wide range of marketing initiatives, especially digital marketing to support the ecosystem development.
- Provide clerical and secretariat support for Ecosystem and University Technology Transfer (EUTT) divisions, to carry out office administrative duties including database maintenance and document filing.
- Assist the coordination with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication implementation of EUTT initiatives: including purchase requisitions, sourcing, quotation analysis, and purchase orders, PO payment requests, and ensuring compliance with related policies and procedures.
- Negotiate with vendors on price and business terms and conclude the purchase activities.
- Responsible for fixed asset management activities of the company.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and report preparation to management when necessary.
- Perform other related assignments as required by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, fresh graduated will also be considered.
- Interested in event & project management with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Being result-oriented, organized and passionate to develop a career in Innovation and Technology industry.
- Proactive and energetic team player but also would work independently.
- Strong analytic and time management skills; process a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a socially responsible mindset; passionate about learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate difficult concepts.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin skills highly preferred.
- Prior internship experience in technology-based industries and/or familiar with the innovation and technology ecosystem is an advantage.

- Candidate with less qualification will also be considered as assistant officer if he/she can demonstrate excellent administrative skills.
This is a 13-month programme. The appointment will be on a contract basis with a competitive salary.
